Bird Parker Lives!
The deadline is almost here. Friday September 5th is the last day to turn in applications to us to be a part of the September Showdown on the 26th at 7pm in the Union Cabaret, get those in to email@example.com
Also keep your ears pricked for the next episode of the vinyl press podcasts, should be out by next wednesday and we’ll post it up here for easy access. This time we had Taylor “Proper T” Johnson in the studio and got a sneak peak at his new material off his project called The Spectrum, as well as a tutorial in using Reason. Of course there will be plenty of music from local bands so plug in and experience the interactive excitement. If any band would like to be a part of a Vinyl Podcast at some point please contact us by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or posting your contact information as a comment on this blog post.
Last but certainly not least, is the big news of the day. Al Mask, Tripp Gobble, and Grace Kennerly, our fearless leaders at Vinyl Records were featured in the Diversions section of the Daily Tar Heel today (Thursday September 4th). Jamie Williams wrote a great article about the inspiration behind Vinyl Records and our goals for the future. Pick up a copy of the paper or click on the above link to read up on us.
“Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn.” ~Charlie “Bird” Parker
