Vinyl Press: Version Blog-o-sphere

Posted in Uncategorized by vinylrecordsunc on September 18, 2008

After a solid week and a half of auditioning some of UNC’s finest student bands, the Vinyl Family has sat down at the dinner table and whipped up a delicious serving of six sizzling acts for the September Showdown next Friday, the 26th, at 7pm in the Union Cabaret–and its FREE! Remember, this event will be your chance to vote for your favorite two performances to determine which bands are signed to Vinyl Records, UNC’s student run record label.  The Vinyl Family would like to thank the 25+ applicants who applied to audition for the showcase and hopes to continue working with you all in whatever fashion we can in the future.

If you did not make it into the showcase, we would like to strongly emphasize our desire to continue working with you.  Remember, Vinyl Records is a student talent incubator and cannot function properly without you all and your support.  Keep up the hard work, and we guarantee that we will be getting in touch very soon.  Furthermore, we’re doing this all over again in the spring, so keep the chops sharp!

Vinyl Records UNC would like to congratulate the following bands for making it into our September Showdown:

The Huguenots –

Jacquelyn Lee –

Shannon McArthur –

Lafcadio –

Lake Inferior –

Apollo –

Once again, we’d like to thank everyone for their time, energy, and support, and remind you to come out and lend a hand in deciding which two groups will be signed to the Vinyl Records label on the 26th!
