UNC Opera Workshop Presents…

“Les Mamelles de Tiresias”!

Francis Poulenc’s first opera, which translates as “The Breasts of Tiresias”, was written in a devastated post World War II France. This is a surreal comic opera focusing on issues of gender roles in conjunction with UNC’s gender project this year.

The opera will run for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday of this week. Yours truly will be performing the second night in the very brief, but VERY silly role of The Fortuneteller. The rest of the time and all of Friday night you’ll see me chillaxin’ in the chorus.
